We take absolute pride in making the Lliswerry 8 one of the most amazing, friendly races on the calendar. We had over 170 volunteers out to look after you & encourage you round. Thank you for following our Safety Rules which are there to protect you all & our marshals.
Well done to overall winner Paul Graham from Ponty Roadents in a time of 39m29s and female winner Lizzie Dimond in a time of 49m02s and everyone on a cool, damp day but not too windy so perhaps a few of you sneaked PBs. We hope so.
Lliswerry Runners' womens team came in first & our men's team came in third behind a very capable SanDomenico men's team & Ponty Roadents. Well done to them & everyone who participated. There are no time limits on this race & our marshals stay to the end to cheer on everyone.
Huge thanks to Nathaniel MG for providing an electic car as our lead vehicle. Throughout the day, our amazing volunteers completed a litter pick around the 8 miles of country lanes. They also collected all discarded plastic drinks bottles for recycling. So we left the course tidier than we found it.
We'd also like to thank Fabian4 for managing our entries so professionally and Triandenter for the chips on race numbers, timing & results. You guys make our job of looking after the runners so much easier!
